Press Release – IntelliRad Imaging Announces Membership in Strategic Radiology, a Growing Coalition of Independent, Private Radiology Practices

Miami, Florida – July 10, 2024 – IntelliRad Imaging, LLC, a private physician-owned radiology practice in Miami, Florida, announced that they have joined Strategic Radiology, an independent coalition of radiology groups.

Strategic Radiology (SR) is a national coalition of 39 privately owned, independent radiology practices representing 1700+ radiologists that have come together to improve quality, gain operational efficiencies, and innovate the future of radiology’s private practice model. SR established the nation’s first imaging-specific Patient Safety Organization listed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and provides its member groups value through shared savings via a group purchasing program, strategic partnerships, and proprietary products and services.

“IntelliRad’s membership with SR aligns with our goal of remaining privately owned. SR’s forums and workgroups allow our physicians and administrators to brainstorm for and problem-solve common issues that radiology groups face,” said Janene Markuske, MBA, Executive Director of IntelliRad Imaging. “Their group purchasing programs will also allow us to save money on our insurance premiums and software. It’s an exciting avenue for our group.”

IntelliRad provides diagnostic radiology interpretations as well as interventional radiology and neurointerventional surgery services to five hospitals and five freestanding emergency hospitals within Dade and Broward Counties including HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, HCA Florida Westside Hospital, and HCA Florida University Hospital.
