IntelliRad Imaging is proud to welcome Dr. Ajay Banga to the team as the inaugural fellow in our brand-new Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship, a milestone moment for our practice and for the future of neurovascular care in South Florida.
Launching a New Era of Training at IntelliRad
IntelliRad’s Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship is a 2-year program based across our Miami and Fort Lauderdale locations, built to give physicians advanced, hands-on training in some of the most complex and high-stakes procedures in medicine. The program offers:
- Advanced training in neurointerventional procedures
- High-volume stroke and neurovascular case exposure
- A collaborative, physician-owned practice environment
- A home base in the heart of Miami / Fort Lauderdale, FL
Dr. Banga steps into this new fellowship as its very first participant, helping shape the program from the ground up as IntelliRad continues to expand its neurointerventional capabilities.
A Strong Foundation in Neurology and Vascular Care
Dr. Banga’s path to neurointerventional surgery began with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Nova Southeastern University, followed by medical school at Nova Southeastern University’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He completed his internship, neurology residency, and vascular neurology fellowship all at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL — giving him a strong, focused foundation in the neurological and vascular expertise that now anchors his interventional training.
He is an active member of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
Areas of Focus
Dr. Banga is board eligible and holds certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). His clinical interests center on minimally invasive treatments for CNS vascular pathology, including:
