IntelliRad Imaging is excited to welcome Dr. Michael Letzing, MD, to our team of physicians serving patients across South Florida.
Before stepping into radiology, Dr. Letzing built a career in computer programming. That background in technology gave him a natural draw toward one of medicine’s most technical specialties, and today it shapes how he approaches imaging IT and the fast-evolving digital side of diagnostic care.
Dr. Letzing earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Virginia before attending the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. He completed his internal medicine internship, radiology residency, and neuroradiology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
Areas of Focus
Dr. Letzing is board certified in diagnostic radiology with a subspecialty in neuroradiology. His clinical interests include:
- Neuroradiology
- Imaging IT
- Emergency Radiology
He is an active member of the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). He has contributed to research presented at RSNA, including a study on cerebral venous drainage in patients with idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
Why He’s Excited to Be Here
When asked what he enjoys most about working with IntelliRad and the HCA facilities the team supports, Dr. Letzing pointed to the teamwork and collaboration that define the practice — values that align closely with IntelliRad’s commitment to coordinated, patient-centered care.
Outside the reading room, Dr. Letzing enjoys traveling and spearfishing.
